About Jesus’ Closet

Jesus’ Closet is a clothing ministry seeking to demonstrate the love of Jesus. Jesus’ Closet truly is the Body of Christ joining hands together to serve. We serve the homeless, under the bridge, we go to government apartment complexes. All items are given freely at no charge and in Jesus’ name. We do not sell any items.

Where To Drop Donations

Jesus’ Closet is hosted at Faith Community Church. 17833 Hwy 69 South (one mile south of the new mall and loop 49) Tyler, TX 75703. There is a large covered porch where you can leave items if no one is at the church.

Volunteer To Serve

Saturday

We welcome all individuals and groups to come and serve. If you want to serve on a Saturday we would love to have you. If you are bringing a group please contact us via Facebook messenger, or call Faith Community Church. We want to give every group a meaningful experience of ministering in Jesus’ name. We always give preference to the group that has signed up ahead of time.

Monday

We sort clothes on Mondays from 1:00-4:00 at Faith Community Church. We would love to have you come and join us in the very important “behind the scenes” ministry.

Donations

  • All clothes items for men, women, kids and infants. We take clothing for any season. We sort and save “off season” items.
  • Shoes, hats, belts, ladies purses,
  • Scrubs, school uniforms
  • Only new underwear/socks, we accept used bras
  • Winter items: jackets, gloves, “beanies”/toboggans, scarves
  • Homeless items: tents, rope, tarps, sleeping bags, small propane “camping” bottles, bottled water (individual bottles or gallon jugs)
  • Winter: hand warmers
  • Summer: Deep Woods Off
  • Toiletry items: tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, shampoo, lip balm, toilet paper, (many folks bring hotel items from a hotel stay)
  • Misc items: glasses, toys, blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, diapers, bicycles in complete working condition, books: Bibles, Christian books for grownups, all appropriate kids books.

Items We Can NOT Receive

Furniture, mattresses and any large items.

We Can Not Pick up Items

We are a smaller church and do not have the personal to be able to provide pick up. Thank you for your understanding.

Financial Donations

If you want to make a financial donation to Jesus’ Closet via our PayPal account (click here) or you can make your check to Faith Community Church. We have a special Jesus’ Closet fund. All monies are used only for Jesus’ Closet. All financial contributions to Jesus’ Closet go through Faith Community Church are recognized and accepted by the Internal Revenue Service for tax purposes
